Why
Come To Us?
Infertility
counseling is different from other types of counseling or psychotherapy.
Most psychotherapies offer support, insight and strategies for change.
That is not enough for individuals entering infertility treatment.
Women and
couples experiencing infertility require information specific to the
field of Reproductive Medicine. The American Society for Reproductive
Medicine (ASRM) sets the standards of care in the field of Reproductive
Medicine. As a professional member of ASRM's Mental Health Professional
Group, our director, Pamela Fawcett Pressman, LPC, follows the highest
ethical guidelines set by this prestigious organization. Having trained
in the field of reproductive medicine, she is able to incorporate specialized
knowledge into our work with clients.
The counseling
and evaluations at ICP thoroughly incorporate these rigorous standards.
This insures couples are given the highest degree of support and information
available in the field of Infertility Treatment. For this reason, people
who come to the Infertility Counseling Program can be sure they are
getting accurate information about all of their reproductive options.
